There ’s no way an editor can answer that question specifically. What they publish is the best way to know what they’re looking for. ![]() Inevitably, someone will ask, “What are you looking for.” They really hate that question, because it shows that the one who asked hasn’t read any books from that publisher. I’ve heard a lot of editors speak at conferences. No matter what type of novel you’re writing, following these rules will greatly improve your chances of selling that book. If you’ve read any of Charles Dickens’ novels, you will have experienced his rules for a successful novel.
